The Imprisoned Tear

The moon moans let it go, let it go
speaking to the husband of the night.
She’s telling him to let it flow, let it flow
let your tears be freed off the sight
of the people who’ll see you in the light.

_

But he who faked smiles fought not to,
not to let anyone sees that he mourns.
Though his teary eyes seem to be the clue
that he’s caught in the dilemma’s horn
and is very forlorn.

_

His tears want to be emancipated
from the restriction not to cry.
Then you’ll see the irony of being exhilarated:
the living when in fact you’ll die,
and the contentment when you sigh.

_

He overly manifests the farce of living.
But we can’t judge him in any way.
We aren’t in his shoe that he’s wearing.
‘Coz even though he’s making a far-fetched play,
we can’t hear the words his heart wants to say.

_

His eyes want to free the tears,
but he too is an imprisoned one.
A prisoner waiting for parole all these years,
from the wake of the moon and the rise of the sun
until two both lights are gone.

_

How courageous is he to fake smiles.
But how foolish is he who didn’t opt a shoulder?
Instead of a shoulder, he wants rain from the sky
to conceal his tears in the rain shower.
As well as his lack of fervor.

_

When will those tears be freed from imprisonment?
And when will he overcome this fear?
The answers might unfold in the future, not in the present.
Because the face in the mirror is still unclear,
he who is the imprisoned tear.
