Losing Hope? Here’s A Gentle Reminder From Street Children

There will always come a time that we face disappointments in life. In my case, every day is disappointment day. With my quarter life crisis on its height and problems coping up with work, I can’t seem to fathom where to get the hope that I need each day.

And just now, I went home so helpless with the problems that I have in life. Adulting is really a hard thing to do. But I accidently browsed a video on Facebook of street children singing. It was more than just a song for me. It was a simple and gentle reminder that I am still lucky enough with my life right now.

Video Owner: Nicolo Garcia

By the looks of it, it was an original song that they made. I am not quite sure really. I haven’t heard this song before. I was kind of teary-eyed just by listening to the chorus.

Mangarap ka. Abutin lahat ng gusto.

Kahit na mahirap, kakayanin mo.

Marami mang hadlang, tuloy lang ang laban.

Dahil dito sa mundo, ang sumusuko ay laging natatalo.

And what sends me more to tears is the fact that it is being delivered by street children who, despite difficulties that they may be experiencing in life, have the audacity to give this simple reminder through a song to us who are quite losing hope.

God bless you all, kids!
