Day 5 at Maquillage Professionnel School of Makeup Artistry
Last time we discussed Day Makeup Look. And the basics of makeup wouldn’t be complete in the absence of its counterpart. So for today, we are going to discuss Evening MakeUp on our Day 5 at Maquillage Professionnel School of Makeup Artistry.
Here are some of the considerations that must be put in mind in the Evening Makeup Look.
- Foundation – It must be medium to full coverage. One should use a foundation color a little bit lighter to the skin.
- Color – It must be mid-range.
- Eye MakeUp – It’s adviseable to use the closed corner eye makeup. (Check out the difference between the open and closed corner eye makeup here).
This is Ms. Yuki’s sample for the evening Makeup Look.
And since I am already quite immersed with the know-hows of makeup and applications, I will no longer be including the longer version of our class here. Although here are some of the reminders that I was still able to get in order to be better in makeup. (Note: Some of the tips are quite no-brainer but for the benefit of the newbie writer, then I will be posting it still. LOL)
Tips:
- You also put the foundation in eyelids.
- Put concealer in the crease of the eye bags.
- Concealer can be used as a primer in the eye area.
- In evening makeup, it’s preferable to start doing the eye makeup first.
- In night makeup, pigments can be used to make it more metallic.
- Dab only! – the ever-reliable advice of pro-MUA.
- Use black eyeshadow at the outer edge of the eyes intensify colors (regardless of what color you will be using).

I used metallic silver eyeshadow for my friend and model, Jackee.
