April 10, Philippines—A 12 year old kid from Laguna was killed by his own father by repeatedly punching him on the face after the father read “Bakla po ako, Hindi ko po kinahihiya” on the kid’s facebook account. The status was posted by the victim’s friend as a joke, but the victim’s father took it seriously and violently.

The victim’s father is apparently an active member of the Airforce and is now on the custody of Laguna Police station. The police didn’t find any signs of drug usage, the man is only homophobic.

The mother refuses to give her statement.
